The club, which is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire, has since paid tribute to the popular schoolboy.
Thrapston Town Juniors FC manager Marc Hudson, 41, coached Ben from when he joined the team at the age of just four.

People are paying tribute on social media .

Lucy Garland Very sad news RIP Ben and thoughts to his family. As a football mum this is my worst fear to think that this could happen to anyone at any point. This is also why I think every football club should have an AED (de-fib) on site and plentry of trained people around to use it. Sad, sad news
