The 2013 murder case against MacNeill became a national true-crime cable TV obsession with its tales of plastic surgery and philandering, betrayal and family feuding, jailhouse snitches and a jetted bathtub brought into the courtroom.

MacNeill was also charged with sexually abusing his adult daughter the month after his wife's death in 2007. That case came to trial the year after his murder conviction.

This is what people are saying about him on facebook.

Aubrie Amann It's a relief for his daughters who have fought so hard to get justice for their mother. Just over 10 years since he murdered her. I hope you girls can finally find some peace.
Coward! He knew he was guilty but was delusional enough to deny it all this time. Way to get out of situations disadvantageous to him! The good thing is that my hard-earned taxes will not be used to keep him in jail. In a way a good riddance!.

TaNi Crockett Wow, y'all are insensitive. I pray you don't get the same judgment upon your own death. A life is a life and who are we to judge what he deserves? Maybe he did wrong and was a bad person, but who gave you the play God card?

Robyn Marie Justesen-Kunz Wow. Wonder what it's going to be like when he faces his late wife in the after life. I'm sure she has a few choice words for him.

Renate Elyse Smith This was the " dad " of one of my dearest friends. although the nightmare will never fully be over, I think this will bring some incredibly hard fought peace to the situation.

Jason Ransdell They would never pronounce him dead at the prison. Those nurses and medics are not Doctors. Only a doctor at the hospital can pronounce a person deceased.
