Mikayla Focht, 18, was a softball standout and was set to graduate at the end of this term. She had signed on to play with Saint Francis University.
State police have released more details on the death of Hollidaysburg senior Mikayla Focht. Full story posting tonight on the Mirror site, but we have learned a 23-year-old was driving the ATV on which she was a passenger when he hit a deer at just after 4 a.m., throwing both from the ATV. He suffered minor injuries and fled, according to police. Focht died at the scene.
Words can't describe how good of a person she was I had the honor of knowing her as a team mate but more importantly as a friend she will always be with me and I cant see a life without such a wonderful person in it I will forever miss you Mikayla Focht.

Heaven gained a beautiful angel... someone who was always the happiest person in the room and would do anything to make someone smile. No matter who it was you always would make them feel welcomed and talk to them. You were friends with everybody, always so funny and kind.
