Al Fatihah. Rest in peace my friend Najee Abdullah.
You were a man who always had kind things to say about everybody and one of the proudest moments of my DJ life was when you danced all night and complimented the music I was playing at a friend's house in Bukit Tunku. It was the first time we met.
We had a long conversation about soul, disco and funk and from that night onwards I knew I had found a kindred spirit.
Even before I had the honor of meeting you, I loved listening to your radio show on Traxx FM every Sunday and the immaculate taste, authenticity, passion and range of musical knowledge you shared with us will be remembered forever.
You truly were a DJ's DJ and a pioneer to all of us who came after you.
You've given a lot of joy to a lot of people at various times of their lives and your memory will continue to do so for me.
May Allah bless your soul and bring peace to your loved ones.

Today, the world is a lesser & sadder place because she has lost 1 of her best & brightest star...Najee Abdullah, thank you for allowing me the privilege of being your friend this last few years & sharing your life with us... we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.. tq for inspiring me to be a better person always & I think I am, to a certain extent, a better person partly because of you, of you being just the person that you are..
As I sit here, crying a little, remembering all our little but precious moments, it struck me that you wouldnt want to see me or any of your friends & loved ones cry... So instead of sitting around moping & crying, let us celebrate your life instead... Celebrate you & everything that you embody... Knowing you, you would approve of this alternative plan right??!!
& even though you may no longer be here, physically, you will always be in our hearts & we will carry you in our hearts wherever we go, whatever we do...

Rest In Peace, sayang... We love you xxx
