FDA Announces Approval of Gilead Science's HIV Pill Odefsey

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the single-tablet HIV treatment from Gilead Sciences. Odefsey is an updated version of the HIV treatment Complera.

The second single-tablet regimen to include a new, safer version of tenofovir, TAF, has hit the market. The new Truvada should be approved next month. (It will NOT be approved as PrEP, and recent research has questioned whether the new tenofovir will work as well as the old one as HIV prevention.)
