The Way of the Cross by Graham Cooke

What the Cross was for Jesus, it is not for us. The Cross was judgment on Him. It's not judgment on me, it's freedom. The Cross was death to Him. It's not death to me, it's life. The Cross was punishment on Him. It's acceptance for me. What the Cross was for Jesus, it cannot be for us, so we come to value the Cross. Why do you think people originally put crosses on churches? It was because people could look out over the rooftops and see a place and know that that place was about freedom and acceptance.
