Obituary : Pastor Ernest Rhodes found dead after fire at former Augusta church

Authorities say a former pastor has been found dead after a fire at the Augusta building that once housed his community church.
Local media outlets report that the building's fire was called in Sunday morning. Richmond County Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose says that 83-year-old Ernest Rhodes was found dead inside. Rhodes was the pastor of Lively Stone Apostolic Church. Boose says foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy will be conducted.
Augusta Fire Department spokeswoman Dee Griffin says the fire took about 30 minutes to extinguish. As of late Sunday, the cause of the fire wasn't yet known.
