Gunmen Slay American Missionary Roberta Edwards in Haiti

Gunmen shot to death an American missionary to Haiti and kidnapped a 4 year old child who was in the car she had been driving.
Roberta Edwards served the people of Port-au-Prince for more than 20 years. She ran an orphanage called the Sonlight Children's Home.
Edwards was driving back to her ministry Saturday night when a car blocked her vehicle. Gunman then shot and killed her and took the four-year-old child from the car.
CBN News Reporter Caitlin Burke was in Haiti working on assignment and was one of the last people to see Roberta Edwards before the attack. Click play to hear Burke talk about Roberta and what happened after the attack.
"Investigators are working to find the killers and the kidnapped child," Haitian National Police spokesman Frantz Lerebours said.
Edwards was affiliated with the Estes Church of Christ in Henderson, Tennessee.
The church said they were "saddened" to report about Edwards' killing.
"Roberta was a light to those in the community and dedicated to bringing hope to the hopeless. She knew that she worked in a dangerous setting, but had committed herself to care for children in Haiti despite these risks," a statement on the church website said.
Police don't have a motive for the killing.
