Atheist group is demanding the removal of a “God bless the Military” sign on a U.S. Marine Corp base in Hawaii

Now an atheist group is demanding the removal of a “God bless the Military” sign on a U.S. Marine Corp base in Hawaii. And the sign has been up since it was erected after 9/11! The group says it is “divisive.” You’ve got to be kidding me! But Chaplain Justin “Chappy” Roberts is defending the sign and says it has been a source of hope and comfort for over 10 years. Fox News says in this report that, tragically, 22 veterans a day commit suicide. Pray for our military—and share this with others who will pray.

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe tells UN General Assembly: 'We are not gays!'

Robert Mugabe used the United Nations podium on Monday evening to attack homosexuality in front of the General Assembly.
Deviating from his prepared remarks, the 91-year-old leader of Zimbabwe reportedly barked: “We are not gays!”
Mr Mugabe made the comment as he criticised Western nations’ “double standards” and attempts to “prescribe ‘new rights’ that are contrary to our values, norms, traditions and beliefs.”
Zimbabwe has one of the worst LGBT rights records on the African continent, with the country’s leader frequently demonising homosexuality.  In 2013 he described homosexuals as “worse than pigs, goats and birds.”
In the same speech Zimbabwe’s leader – who has been in power since 1987 – claimed the UN Human Rights charter did not give states “the right to some to sit in judgement over others”.

Congressman Bob Brady Steals Pope Francis Water Glass, Drinks from It: ‘Anything Pope Touches Becomes Blessed’

A Pennsylvania Congressman is raising eyebrows after he snatched the half-full water glass of the Roman Catholic pontiff known as Francis following his speech before Congress, and then sipped from it out of his belief that the water was now “blessed” because the pope touched it.
“Anything the pope touches becomes blessed,” Pennsylvania Rep. Bob Brady (D-Philadelphia) told The Washington Post. “I think so and no one is going to change my mind.”
According to reports, after the pontiff left the Congressional chamber following the conclusion of his speech on Thursday, Brady walked to the lectern and took Francis’ glass, which he noted had been drank from three times during his address to Congress.
Brady then carried the glass back to his office, where he took a sip from it. He then offered a drink to his wife Deborah and two staffers, who also took photos of the occasion.

Pope Antichrist, 666 : Pope Francis Display Illuminati Hand Signs at his United Nations Speech

(In Satanism, when making this sign the three fingers not used to make the circle are considered symbolic of the unholy trinity — horned God, Goddess, and offspring (Antichrist). The bent three fingers are shaped as three number six’s, or 666. Thus, we have 666, the sun deity (Lucifer), the Goddess (Mystery, Babylon the Great, Mother of Harlots), and the beast (Antichrist, 666), all in one unitary hand sign.)

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” Revelation 16:13 (KJV)

Mike Huckabee to Obama : You’re a Fake Christian

OBAMA, FAKE CHRISTIAN? GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee implied President Barack Obama is not sincere about his Christian faith, during an interview on Newsmax TV.
"I'm disappointed if a person who says, 'I'm a Christian,' but you invite the pope into your home and then you invite a whole bunch of people who are at odds with the Catholic Church policy.
"I'm less concerned about what faith a person has, I'm more concerned about the authenticity of their faith and how that plays out in their policies," he said.
"I'm also concerned about a guy that believes he's a Christian and pretends to be and then says he is but does things that makes it very difficult for people to practice their Christian faith," Huckabee said, in an apparent reference to Obama.

New York Muslim Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to preach at local church

Next weekend, a Muslim clergyman from New York will deliver a sermon to a local religious congregation.

Not in a mosque — in a Christian church on a Sunday morning.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf will take the pulpit at the two campuses of First Community Church.

The Rev. David Hett, minister of religious life and learning, said inviting Rauf to preach challenges a prejudice that labels Christians as being opposed to Muslims.

“I think it’s a great statement to make to the community and to the world,” Hett said. “I’m pretty sure there’s never been a Muslim leader speaking from the pulpit, preaching on a Sunday morning.”

Rauf, founder and chairman of the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement, has spent years challenging such prejudices. His organizations work to educate Americans about Islam.

Child, mother and pastor shot inside Selma Alabama church

A woman, an infant and a pastor have been shot and wounded inside an Alabama church in an attempted murder, police claim.
James Minter has been arrested and charged with trying to kill the three victims in a shower of bullets at the Oasis Church in East Selma, Alabama.
Neither Minter's age or hometown were immediately available.
According to district prosecutor Michael Jackson, the shooting stems from a domestic issue between Minter and the woman and that race was not a factor.
Jackson says the pastor is white, while Minter and the two other victims are black.
Minter is being held without bond at the Dallas County jail.

Pastor Dr. John Gibson of New Orleans commits suicide after being outed on infidelity web site AshleyMadison.com

NEW ORLEANS – A local pastor recently committed suicide after hackers revealed that he was a customer of the infidelity web site Ashley Madison.

Dr. John Gibson was a well-respected and beloved seminary professor, husband and father when he took his life.

“He was a great man, a great man with struggles,” said his son Trey at a memorial service.

Many gathered to honor Dr. Gibson. His wife Christi said she found his body and the note he left behind.

“In his note he said that he has struggled with depression for four years and that he had been on the Ashley Madison web site and that he was so sorry,” she said.

Chrisi said she didn’t know about the Ashley Madison site, but she said her husband had struggled with depression and sexual addiction on and off for twenty years.

“John walked in so much darkness,” she said. “He had so much inner shame and he felt like he was the only one – and, if we can take our pain and give it a purpose by helping other people to not walk in that same shame… to know that they are not alone.”

Christi urges others who are suffering from addiction and depression to get help.

Pastor Jerry Harris and Christopher Williams arrested for abusing children

An area pastor has been arrested and his church's school closed amid allegations of abuse.

Both the pastor, Jerry Harris, 47, and a school employee, Christopher Williams, 21, were arrested at Crossroads Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon and charged with battery and neglect.

Clarksville Police said Wednesday they were continuing to investigate and interview students and school staff members.
Police say the school had 8 full time employees and more charges are possible.

The school, according to police, houses 23 young men from across the country, ages 8 to 18, who were sent to the school after disciplinary issues.
Clarksville police say several students had marks on their bodies consistent with abuse and one told authorities he had been hit with a paddle.
Because of their continuing investigation, police declined to offer specifics on those injuries.
