Here’s a judge who’s got it right and fears God more than man! Judge C. Allen McConnell faced the consequences of the Supreme Court’s same-sex marriage ruling at the bench last week when he was asked to perform a wedding ceremony for a lesbian couple. McConnell, who is a former Toledo, Ohio, NAACP chapter leader, said he declined to perform the marriage “based upon my personal and Christian beliefs established over many years. I apologize to the couple for the delay they experienced and wish them the best.” I applaud Judge McConnell for standing up for the biblical definition of marriage and not being pushed around—we need more like him! Pray for him and other judges, along with clerks, magistrates, and more who are now faced with the same dilemma. May they be as bold. Post your encouragement to Judge McConnell in the comments below, and share this if you agree.
