Pastor Rod Parsley on The Supreme Court Ruling on Same Sex Marriage

The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled today that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states. It is disheartening that the timeless, universal truth of marriage instituted by God as the union of one man and one woman was driven out of the marketplace of ideas as the divided voice of the Supreme Court overturned the will of the people of more than 30 states.
The court did not just rule on marriage equality; it fundamentally changed the definition held sacred by this great nation, transforming it into a threat to the very religious freedoms upon which our country was founded.
America is in the midst of social turmoil as we’ve seen over the past several months. Today’s decision now launches our country into a great social experiment, lacking any insight into how the justices’ decision will transform our nation as we embark into this uncharted territory. Now more than ever, it is time to pray more earnestly and to heighten our awareness to safeguard our religious freedoms. As we stand steadfast in our values of faith, the Church now has an extraordinary opportunity to redouble its efforts to spread the Gospel to a culture in desperate need, especially to those on the opposite spectrum of our beliefs. I pray God’s continued blessing upon America, despite today’s disappointing outcome of events.
