FROM THE NATURAL INTO THE SUPERNATURAL BY ARCHBISHOP DUNCAN WILLIAMS

"After these things I looked, and behold,
a door standing open in heaven. And the
first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, 'Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.'"
(Revelation 4:1)
Please understand that one's position in the realm of the spirit is very important in the reception of information. And the quality of information one has determines how efficient he can wage his warfare and maneuver in the natural and even in the spirit.
In the anchor scripture, God wanted to show John something but He wanted him to step up out from the natural and come into the supernatural before He could show him.
"Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.
And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God."(Revelation 4:2-5)
He had previously seen the door of heaven opened but he needed to step into the spirit realm to see the things in heaven.
There was no way John would have seen the throne of Jehovah, the twenty four elders and their thrones at that level.
It is common to remain where one is but it's uncommon to climb up into the spirit realm because it takes inner tenacity, spiritual intensity, discipline, commitment and courage to climb up the mountain of prayer, have an intercourse with Jehovah and obtain spiritual power.
