He was the unintended target of a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Pendleton.

“Felt like something like somebody hit me with a hammer,” Allen told FOX13, “My ear was hurting so I put my hand in my ear and then I felt something wet I looked in my hand and it was just full of blood.”

Allen was treated at Regional One and released around 2 a.m. Thursday. The first thing he did was post a video to Facebook: He thanks people who visited him at the hospital, let's everyone know he's well, and then he forgives the person who shot him.

"You shot me and I could have died. Could have left my precious wife, and I could've left my family, my daughter and my sons," Allen says in the video, "Whoever shot me, you, young man that shot me in the head, I want to let you know I love you."

Allen told FOX13 said the police officer who arrived on the scene really put things in perspective for him.
