God promises to forgive us each and every time we sin. There is no limit to the grace and mercy that God possesses. The atonement of Jesus’ death can handle each and every shortcoming that we experience. When we fall short or miss the mark, we can be fully restored and made new again. However, restoration does not grant us immunity from the consequences of sin. We will pay physically, emotionally, and spiritually for the things we do against the plan of God. But through God’s love, we can be restored back to Him regardless of the circumstances that we put ourselves in. God keeps His promises and He promised that we, as born again believers, have an advocate that can handle ALL of our sins!
God also promises to give us a new spirit (His spirit) and a new heart in order to combat sin and fulfill His perfect plan. If we believe upon Him, then we can be forgiven. Though forgiveness is available, we must learn to master sin because sin is deadly; moreover, it separates us from God. God promises us forgiveness and the power to overcome sin so that we can live fully in His likeness and image.
