Past life memories : Five-Year-Old Boy Remembers How He Died in His Past Life

Five-year-old Luke Ruehlman has a very odd, but strangely convincing story: He claims that in a past life, he was a Chicago resident named Pam who died in a 1993 fire.
Yes, you read all of that right.

The Ohio-based family had never been to Chicago, and didn't even know anyone named Pam. "He used to say, 'When I was a girl, I had black hair," Luke's mom, Erica, told Fox 8. "Or he'd say, 'I used to have earrings like that when I was a girl.'"

Luke's comments eventually became more and more detailed. He started referencing the name Pam more often, and out of frustration one day, his mother asked who Pam was. And she was definitely not expecting his response.

"Well, I was," Luke told her. "Well, I used to be, but I died, and I went up to heaven. I saw God, and eventually God pushed me back down, and I was a baby and you named me Luke."

Then, taking this story down another twisting path, Erica asked Luke how he died. "He looked right at me and said, 'It was fire.' And at that point he made like a motion with his hand like he was jumping off a building." Erica researched this new information, and she came across a tragic Chicago fire at Paxton Hotel that took the lives of 19 people. One of them was Pamela Robinson, who jumped out a window to her death.
