Tyler Perry declared winner of ‘ What Would Jesus Do ’ trademark battle

Tyler Perry has won the trademark fight  over the use of the term “WHAT WOULD JESUS DO” in a United State Patent and Trademark Office decision that was made public recently.

Perry fought Kimberly Kearney over the use of  WWJD and won , although Media reports said Kearney has registered the trade mark first.

Kearney a.k.a  Poprah , registered the use of WWJD in January 2008 for entertainment services purpose.
She also said that she first used “What Would Jesus Do” in commerce in 2007 .
Tyler Perry also filed for the trademark , to use “What Would Jesus Do” for entertainment services purpose in 2008. Perry wanted to use the trademark to conduct live concerts , production of television programs and motion picture films.
