Devotions : Benny Hinn - The End Times, Part 2

In 1965, when Irvin was just 19 years old, a visiting evangelist taught that the four beasts of Revelation 4 were Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

“I knew that wasn’t right,” he remembers thinking. “He offered no evidence, no Scripture. So I was inspired to find the truth.” Over the next 30 days Irvin read the Book of Revelation 19 times. Little did he know that was the seed for a worldwide ministry.

On today’s broadcast, learn about the anti-Christ, and the seven seals. Rev. Baxter says, “When the sixth trumpet sounds, one-third of all mankind will be killed, starting from the Euphrates River.” You won’t want to miss a single broadcast this week!

News : Pastor, Convert Drown During Baptism at Dam Where Several Others Have Died Performing Christian Rite

From the Christian Post .

A pastor and a recent convert he was attempting to baptize drowned before 200 witnesses this week at a dam in Eastern Uganda. According to local news reports, at least seven other deaths have occurred at the same dam, also while baptisms were being performed.

Several media outlets in Uganda have reported that a Pentecostal pastor of Redeemed Gospel Church lost his life along with a woman while performing her baptism before hundreds of other church members in the dam on Tuesday evening. Conflicting news reports list the pastor's name as either Julius or Wilber Mukisa, and the female victim as Farida or Jennifer Mugolofa. The Mugoya Dam, located in Nakalama village in the Iganga district, is reportedly a popular choice for Christian baptisms, despite other believers having lost their lives in its waters performing the same rite.

NewVision.com reports that witnesses saw a "huge mass of water" overtake Pastor Mukisa and Mugolofa during the baptism, and were forced to watch as the pair struggled and succumbed to the waters. Another pastor, Joseph Akwasibwe from Kampala, identified in the Daily Monitor as Mukisa's lead pastor, had been helping with the baptism ceremony when the massive wave hit.

"The lead pastor was standing on the shoreline as his colleague went on with the baptism ceremony. He (Pastor Mukisa) held the head of the woman and as he pushed her into the waters for the third time, he lost grip and the two drowned," Abbas Zikulabe, an eyewitness, is quoted as telling the Daily Monitor.

Local residents claim seven other people have died in the dam during full emersion baptism ceremonies over the last two years.

Officials were investigating the latest drowning deaths.
Ugandans learning of the news on social media expressed remorse over the deaths of Pastor Mukisa and new believer Mugolofa. While many simply wrote "R.I.P" or "rest in peace," one commenter offered a prayer.

"They died in faith. May the Almighty Father in heaven grant them a safe place with Him in Jesus name I pray. Amen," the commenter wrote.

Devotions : Patricia King - As the church goea so goes the nation

"As the church goes so goes the nation". So often we point our fingers at government leaders for any mal-condition of the nation.

The Lord spoke to me clearly a few years ago and said that moral decline begins in the church. When the church compromises truth then it affects the nation. The leaders we have reflect the state of the church.

Today, lets pray for the church and all its leaders to align with righteousness. Pray for God's FIRE to come and burn up all the dross in our lives - the things that hinder us from reflecting the glory of Christ within to the world.

We will gain authority in the nations as WE align with God and HIs purposes.
Come Holy Spirit, Come.

It on takes ONE Holiness awakening to revive entire nations. Let's believe for it. I'm praying.

Devotions : Joseph Prince - You are justified by grace not by work

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, Romans 4:5.

Boldness is what God wants you to have when you come to Him. He does not want you to be afraid to come to Him, feeling unworthy because of your sins. He wants you to come boldly to Him, knowing that the death, burial and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ has justified you and qualified you to boldly receive from Him. This was the kind of boldness that the woman with the issue of blood had when she touched Jesus. (Mark 5:25–34)

Now, by touching Jesus, she knew that she was breaking a Levitical law which states that anyone with a bodily discharge is unclean, and should not appear in public, let alone touch another person. (Leviticus 15) But she refused to feel condemned by the law. She believed what she had heard about Jesus, and was confident that there would only be love and compassion, not condemnation, from Him.

She believed that Jesus would justify her and qualify her to receive the miracle she needed. That was why she boldly pressed her way into the crowd to touch Jesus, who indeed said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.” (Mark 5:34) What was it about her faith that made her well? Romans 4:5 talks about faith that believes God justifies the ungodly.

When you believe that God justifies the ungodly, it will give you boldness to come to God, even when you feel unclean because you have just blown it. When you fail, don’t run away from God. Run boldly to Him, knowing that you are justified by the blood of Christ and not by your good behavior.

The devil may say to you, “How can you do that? Who do you think you are?” Don’t listen to him. Pick yourself up and thank God for the blood and the gift of no condemnation. (Romans 8:1)
If God justifies the ungodly, how much more you, His beloved child!

Thought For The Day:

You are justified by the blood of Christ and not by your good behavior.

Eliseo Salinas' life spared and transformed by God's love (+playlist)

Devotions : Charles Staley - When Fear Grips Us

All throughout the Scriptures, the Lord encourages us not to be afraid or anxious.

As His children, we have no basis for fear. Of course, there are reasons for us to be extremely cautious about what we do and where we go, but God’s people are not to live in a state of anxiety.

If you think about it, you can identify at least six anxieties that are basic to all mankind. They are the fear of criticism, illness, old age, death, poverty, and losing a loved one.

Although these are universal worries, they are in reality symptoms of something deep inside that feeds our fears. Some of the root causes are:
A basic sense of inadequacy. Because of distorted thinking, we frequently feel incompetent to tackle certain challenges or tasks that should be possible for us to accomplish.

The tendency to set unrealistic standards for ourselves. We can go through life trying to measure up to lofty expectations that are self-imposed rather than goals set by God.

An innate sense of unworthiness. It’s amazing how many people will not succeed in life because they just don’t feel they deserve it. In the midst of our fears and anxieties, we need to remember God’s promise in today’s passage. He reassures us, “Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” It is important that we look up at Him and not around at our circumstances.

Devotions : Joyce Meyer - Prepare to Love Others

The night is far gone and the day is almost here.

Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [ full] armor of light. —Romans 13:12 Before your feet touch the floor in the morning, put on the full armor of God with which you can quench all the fiery darts of the enemy (See Ephesians 6:13–17).
Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the readiness of the gospel of peace. Don’t let the devil steal your peace in the morning.

Start talking to God before you even get out of bed. Tell Him, “I love You, Lord, and I need Your help today. Please strengthen me to walk in the fruit of the Spirit.

Help me walk in love all day long. Help me to keep my thoughts on You, Lord.”

Devotions : Kenneth E. Hagin - Works From the Inside Out

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. (Phil. 2:13).

Healing begins in your spirit.
Even physical healing for your body begins in your spirit. God doesn't start on the outside and work to the inside. No, He starts on the inside and works to the outside.

So don't look on the outside for physical healing. Look on the inside because that's where He'll begin working. And if you will look on the inside - if you will yield to that something on the inside of you and not pay so much attention to your outward symptoms - you'll eventually look around for those symptoms and find that they're gone.

Once when death had come to fasten its final throes upon me, I started laughing in my spirit. It bubbled up and started rolling out of my mouth. I was laughing in the face of death. The devil said, "What are you laughing at?" I said, "I'm laughing at you. Because, you see, you're going to have to leave. I'm not dying now. God's not through with me. I want you to know that." And the devil left.

The Lord always begins working on the inside. You can know things on the inside that you don't see on the outside. You can know things in your spirit that your head can't comprehend. But because you know it in your spirit and believe it, you begin to say it. And because you say it, it will surely come to pass.

Confession:

It is God who is at work within me, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. It is His will that I walk in health and be well. And He is working in my spirit, soul, and body.

Devotions : Pastor W.F Kumuyi - This year in prophecy

“And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had FULFILLED their ministry” Acts 12:25.

The Word of the Lord for you this year is FULFILMENT.
THIS YEAR will be A YEAR OF FULFILMENT for YOU.

Every promise of God for you WILL BE FULFILLED. The project and plan of God WILL BE FULFILLED in your life. YOU WILL BE FULFILLED! “But the word of God grew and multiplied” Acts 12:24.

All the things that try to hinder the CALL OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE will be removed and THROUGH YOU, the Word of God will GROW AND BE MULTIPLIED.

God will REMOVE your “Herods”, “Hamans”, “Nebuchadnezzars” out of the way of the fulfilment of HIS Plan for your life.

The Word of God will PREVAIL in your life and situation.

THIS YEAR will be a year of WONDERS and the MULTIPLICATION of the Word of God THROUGH YOU.
A YEAR OF OPEN DOORS. OPEN your eyes and see them.

Ask for discernment to recognise the DOORS as they come your way.
And EVERY DOOR GOD OPENS, NO SATAN CAN SHUT.

REMEMBER, there is NO ROOM for ANXIETY, WORRY, SLEEPLESSNESS and SELF-PITY this year. Herod does NOT have the final say in your life.
Satan does NOT have the final say in your life.

WHAT GOD HAS WRITTEN concerning you this year WILL BE FULFILLED and REMEMBER your CENTRAL WORD FOR THIS YEAR is FULFILMENT!

Devotions : Pastor Chris Oyakhilome - How to pray in the name of Jesus

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you (John 16:23).

Notice in the latter part of the scripture above that Jesus didn’t say “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father through my name, he will give it you.”

Before you were born again, the Name of Jesus was given to you so you could come through that Name to the Father and be saved. Jesus said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). In other words, He said, “Come to God through me!” Now, having accepted His invitation and have come to the Father through Him, you’ve received eternal life and have become a partaker of the divine nature! You’re now one with Him; you’re now a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Now that you’re in His kingdom, you have His life, you have already come to the Father and you don’t go back.

You came to the Father at the new birth through Christ, and having come to Him, you now dwell in His presence. This is why you shouldn’t pray to the Father and say “through Jesus Christ our Lord.” You may have prayed that way for a long time but that doesn’t make it right. You may have thought that it worked for you; it probably didn’t and you only thought it did. God only overlooked your ignorance.

Now that you know the truth, it’s time to grow up! The revelation from God’s Word in the New Testament is praying to the Father in the Name of Jesus. There’s a great difference between praying through Jesus and praying in His Name. When you pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus, you’re exercising the power of attorney He gave you to use His Name. This means you’re operating the full legal powers He gave you to act in His stead and on His behalf.

When you pray in His Name, it’s as though Jesus Himself were speaking, and everything responds to you the same way they would respond to Jesus.

To pray through Him on the other hand, makes Him a medium, which is not required, now that you’re in Him. So, learn to pray the right way today, and receive answers to your prayers.

Christian News : Former Republican House Majority Leader leads National Prayer Project

The National Prayer Center is hoping to spark a nationwide revival with its new initiative to pray for and with the country’s elected officials.

The Josiah Project is named after King Josiah of Israel, who led the nation to repent and pray after finding the Book of the Law. “He tore his clothes and was convicted before the Lord and he saw the condition of the nation, the culture of Israel was in the toilet.

They had pushed God out of the public square. Does all this remind you of something?” Tom DeLay, the former Republican House majority leader who is helping the National Prayer Center head up the effort, told TheBlaze. “Josiah tore down the idols and brought God back into the nation or brought the nation to God.

He was probably the most devout king of all the kings, including David,” DeLay added. “So that’s why we named it the Josiah Project.
In the presence of where our nation is today.” Rather than lobbying, prayer intercessors with the Josiah Project will approach members of Congress and state legislatures and offer to pray with and for them, DeLay explained.

Chapters will be organized by their congressional districts. “The Constitution is based upon a higher authority. This government cannot exist in the future if we give that up and put man as the higher authority,

” DeLay said. “We need that higher authority and the truth that comes from that higher authority in order for us to survive. Otherwise we’ll find ourselves where we are where man gets to define what truth is and everything crumbles.”

The National Prayer Center, near Capitol Hill, was created to prompt citizens to pray for their leaders, based on 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” and 1 Timothy 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” DeLay said the new project will “put on steroids what the National Prayer Center was. What we’re going to do is we’re going all over the country.”

Devotions : Joyce Meyer - A Winning Combination

Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding [drawing it forth from God’s Word and life’s experiences]. —Proverbs 3:13 .

One of my favorite ways to hear from God is through conventional wisdom and common sense. Wisdom discerns truth in a situation, while common sense provides good judgment regarding what to do with the truth.

I consider wisdom supernatural because it isn’t taught by men; it is a gift from God. Many sophisticated, intelligent people lack wisdom and common sense. God’s Word says, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him” (James 1:5).

I am amazed how many people think they must stop using common sense in order to be “spiritual.” Spiritual people don’t float around all day on clouds of glory; they live in the real world and deal with real issues in real ways.

They need real answers, just like everyone else—and those answers are found in God’s Word and revealed to us by His Spirit.
We do the seeking, and God does the speaking, but He is the Spirit of Wisdom and will not tell us to do anything that is unwise.

Many times we ask God to speak to us and lead us, but if He does not give us a specific word from Scripture or speak a word in our hearts, we still have to live our daily lives and make decisions.

God is not going to dictate every little choice we make, but He does give us wisdom and common sense—and those two make a winning combination. God's word for you today: If you do the seeking, God will do the speaking.

Word for Today : Jesse Duplantis - Productive Response

The truth is that we all encounter events and people that impact our lives.
How we choose to react in life is what moves us toward our dream or away from it. Instead of allowing things to get us down, we can respond in a way that is productive.

We have a choice to obey God’s Word instead of following our flesh. When hate is hurled toward us, we can choose to forgive and walk in love.
It may not be easy, but choosing life will always result in blessing.

Devotions : Dr. Charles Stanley - The Moments That Sustain Us

Meditation is a vital part of a healthy, growing relationship with God. It is, however, left out of many believers’ lives. So let’s start with basics and ask the key question, How do we meditate? First, we must devote ourselves to the reading of God’s Word.

If we want to hear His message, then we must dig deep into Scripture. This is no mere book; rather, it is the very message of God to His people.

We have Scripture in order to know the Lord better. As faithful stewards of this wonderful gift, we must make it an integral part of our lives.

Second, we must learn to pray God’s Word back to Him. When we read a Bible passage, we should lift that Word back up to heaven as a prayer. We affirm the message of Scripture by showing our heavenly Father we are in agreement with what He has said.

Third, we must apply the Word.
The Bible is not here for simple information; instead, it was given for obedience. If we do not allow the Word of God to change our life, then are we really placing much value on it? Fourth, we must submit to God’s will.

As we spend time actively listening to the Lord, He will share His plans for our life. As we apply what we have heard, meditation will become more and more instinctive for us. Then, we will find that we hear His voice regularly.

God has a special message for you. It’s imperative that you take the time to hear what your heavenly Father is saying. And when you do, you’ll enjoy the richness of your relationship with Him.

Church News : Pastor Alijani Released from Iranian Prison

By Kristel Ortiz - agwm.com

After 257 days in prison, Davoud Alijani, an associate pastor at an Assemblies of God church in the western Iranian city of Ahwaz was released Monday, January 13.

In 2011, security authorities raided a Christmas celebration at the church and arrested Alijani as well as Pastor Farhad Sabokrouh and his wife, Shahnaz; Naser Zamen-Dezfuli (also an associate pastor), and a number of other church members. The raid shocked Iran’s Christian community because the church of Ahwaz is legally registered and operates under the supervision of authorities.

Masked security officers forced those arrested onto two buses and transported them to an unknown location where they were interrogated, threatened, and had their personal information and addresses recorded.

Their homes were later searched, and their personal computers, cell phones, books and DVDs were confiscated.

A two-page petition issued by the court stated that the confiscation of the personal items was considered to be “removing the means of committing a crime.”

All the prisoners were released within a few hours, with the exception of the Sabokrouhs, Alijani and Zamen-Dezfuli, who were transferred to a detention center.

After further questioning, all four were eventually charged with apostasy, proselytizing Muslims, and propagating against the Islamic regime through evangelism.

In response to these accusations, the Revolutionary Court of Ahwaz sentenced each of the four Christians to one year in prison, the maximum sentence allowed, in May 2013. Farhad Sabokrouh and Zamen-Dezfuli were released December 4, 2013.

While Alijani has been released, Pastor Sabokrouh’s wife remains in prison. Unconfirmed reports indicate that she will be set free in the next several days.

Devotions : Kenneth E. Hagin - Delegated

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:15,17-18).

Jesus delegated the power and authority in His Name to "them that believe." Some have relegated spiritual authority exclusively to preachers mightily used of God.

But this passage of Scripture isn't just talking about evangelists, pastors, or others in the ministry; it's talking about the entire Body of Christ - the believing ones.

Authority is invested in the Name of Jesus. And authority is invested in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the earth.

Some of us have touched that authority now and then, but none of us have been able to abide in it like God wants. However, I am thoroughly convinced that in these last days, just before Jesus comes, there will arise a body of believers who will learn how to take advantage of all that belongs to them in the Name of Jesus - that Name which is above every Name!

Confession: I am a believing one. And these signs in Mark 16:17 and 18 follow me. I will learn and know how to take advantage of the Name which belongs to me - the Name which is above every Name.

Christian News : Imprisoned Pastor Saeed Abedini Needs Surgery from Injuries

American Pastor Saeed Abedini has been transferred from the murderer ward to a political prisoner ward in Iran's deadliest prison Rajai Shahr.

Concerns about his deteriorating health condition are growing. Saeed's Iranian family, who was able to visit him recently for the first time in six weeks, said he is getting better meals but is experiencing severe abdominal pain.

Saeed sustained internal injuries from the beatings he received early on in his imprisonment.

He was denied medication until recently.
The prison doctor said he is concerned about his internal injuries and recommended surgery, according to the American Center for Law and Justice.

However, since meeting with the doctor, Saeed has still not received the surgery.
"There is a glimmer of comfort to know that my husband has been transferred out of the murderers' ward, but my heart aches to know the pain he continually suffers and that his injuries necessitate surgery," his wife, Naghmeh, said..

"As a family, it is difficult to be so far away and unable to comfort him in his pain. Though we are encouraged by the transfer to the new ward, such a small step is far from an unconditional release where Saeed is reunited with our family. While this development is welcomed, we desperately await his return home," she said.

The ACLJ is urging the U.S. government to make Pastor Saeed's freedom a priority. "When the Obama Administration refused to even ask for Pastor Saeed's release during negotiations with Iran, we not only lost a critical opportunity for his freedom but effectively insulated Iran from ever feeling the need to free this U.S. citizen," the ACLJ said.

Devotions : Archbishop Duncan Williams - The double edged sword

In the Bible, there are many accounts of Jesus praying everywhere he went, but when the enemy tempted him, He overcame him by the written word.

This year, you must decide to come a place of spiritual maturity and balance.
Prayer and fasting is good, but you must also eat the Word for it is a double-edged sword.

I personally invite you to our mid-week teaching service tonight at the Prayer Cathedral at 6pm where we study the Bible and eat the Word of God that it may dwell richly within us. See you tonight at the Prayer Cathedral or via streaming at actionchapel.net ; you are blessed!

Devotions : Charles Stanley - Our God is able

People fail. We do not like this reality, but there are times when, no matter how hard we try or how talented we may be, we simply do not succeed or reach our goal.

How are we to succeed at a given task, especially in situations when the odds are against us?
For believers in Christ Jesus, the answer is to live out a radical faith in the knowledge that our God is willing and able to overcome our weaknesses.

Sarah laughed when she overheard the Lord prophesy that she would bear a son. “Is anything too difficult for the Lord?” He asked (Gen. 18:14).
Within a year, that question was answered when the elderly woman gave birth to baby Isaac. She saw that God was able to accomplish the unimaginable. When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to demand the release of the Hebrew slaves, Moses was scared.

“Who am I,” he asked, “that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the Sons of Israel out of Egypt?” (Ex. 3:11).
God replied with assurance that He would pave the way for the Hebrews’ release, which He did in a miraculous way.

Truly, Moses saw that God was more than able. On our own, we can accomplish nothing (John 15:5). However, when we operate within the will of God, we have access to a limitless power source that far exceeds our comprehension (1 Chron. 29:12).

If you are overcome by the burdens of the world, it is time to throw yourself into the arms of the only one who can carry your heavy load (Matt. 11:28-30).
Trust in Him and learn for yourself that God is able.

Devotions : KENNETH COPELAND - PRAYER FOR FINANCES

by Kenneth Copeland

Let’s pray over everybody’s finances…all of us…everybody…and believe and release the blessing. Because when the blessing’s concerned, it doesn’t matter it there’s famine in the land, if there’s problems.

It works best when there is famine in the land. That’s what it’s for. Let’s all agree with one another for the blessing, not just a blessin, but the biggest financial year we’ve ever had. Amen.

Now, let me tell you what you do. We get in the supernatural. It’s one thing to pray but then you put your eyes on Jesus. He is your source. You put your eyes on the promises of God to Abraham and you look at them and you look at them and you breathe them and you talk them, eat them, sleep them.

When Gloria and I were up there in Colorado praying out there on that deck and she and I were sitting…no this was in the main room there…and she and I were sitting there and we were just talking these things and we got to looking at Isaac and what happened when he sowed in famine.

And God began to speak to us. The room filled up with his glory and we sat there for six hours under the influence of the presence of God as He poured His word into us.

He began to show us things to come. He began to show us what was happening in the economy and why. He began to show us what was happening in the health care situation and why it was such a mess.

All of these things…I mean it just began to pour in there. But you have to keep your eyes on it. And you come out of there and then somebody comes on the television and says we’re all going to go down. I ain’t going down…I’m going that way. I’m not spending my time going down. Amen.

Now, Father, in the name of Jesus, we set ourselves before your throne. Heaven and earth bear record, we are in agreement that the recession, the depression, inflation and every other economic downfall doesn’t belong to us.

We’re the children of God, not the children of the world. We’re the children of light, not the children of darkness. We walk in the light as you’re in the light Lord. You are our source.

We lay hold today of every promise, every word You said, every oath You declared to Abraham.
You will perform that oath and that promise to me and to my household. We declare it. We claim it. We receive it. It’s done. It’s done.

Hallelujah. We are the blessed. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

Devotions : Kenneth Copeland - Four Steps That Ensure Victory

These are four steps that Brother Copeland learned from Kenneth Hagin that ensure victory. He has used and practiced them and they have brought victory over and over again in his life.
They are in line with God's Word.

1. Make the decision: I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED, I WILL RECEIVE FROM GOD.      (I John 5:4-5).

2. Resist Satan: REFUSE TO ENTERTAIN HIS THOUGHTS.
(II Corinthians 10:3-5; James 4:7).

3. GIVE YOUR ATTENTION TO GOD’S WORD (Proverbs 4:20-22).                      Fix your mind on  God's Word         (Joshua 1:8).

4. REFUSE TO SPEAK WORDS CONTRARY TO WHAT YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE  RECEIVED (Mark 11:23-24).

Answer every doubt immediately with the Word of God.

Answer every symptom of sickness, unforgiveness, lack, strife, fear, etc. immediately with the Word of God.

Devotions : Joyce Meyer - Wait for the Lord

Keep the charge of the Lord your God, walk in His ways, keep His statutes, His commandments, His precepts, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may do wisely and prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. —1 Kings 2:3

When you pray, wait for the Lord. This means to look for, to expect, and to hope in God. This isn’t a passive state of mind, but one of expectancy.

Tell Him, “God, I have my hope in You. I believe that You are working on my problems. I believe that You are making arrangements for my day. You are posting angels all throughout my walk, everywhere along my path where You already know I am going to walk today.

Thank you, Lord, that You are a pioneer who has already gone before me and made a way for me to have a blessed day.”

Devotions - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Teachings - The Benefits of Fasting and Praying.

“And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the lord, on whom they believed” (Acts 14:23).
Part of the discipline you should consciously develop is to have times of prayer and fasting. Fasting is more than just staying off food; it has to go hand-in-hand with prayer. Our Lord Jesus prayed and fasted while He was on earth.
Contrary to what some people think, fasting and prayer is not a way to get God to do something; it is actually a spiritual exercise that benefits you. When you fast, you train your spirit to be sensitive. “What if I get hungry?” you might want to ask.
That is the idea! You should be hungry and refuse to eat! It helps you discipline your human body and lets your spirit take control. At such times, it is easy for you to pick the signals coming from the Lord to you.
So how do you fast?
First of all, pick a day when you won’t be so busy with visitors and activities. Some people occupy themselves with various activities when they’re fasting, just so they don’t feel the hunger until it’s time to break the fast. That is wrong! Get on the floor before God; take your Bible and some Christian study materials such as books, audio or video messages to listen to.
Switch off the television and your telephone.
Spend some time to speak in other tongues and pray. If you want specific results that only the anointing can produce, you must set yourself apart like this from time to time.

Devotions : Lysa TerKeurst - Engage your brain and your mouth

"I need to engage my brain before I engage my mouth.
Just like I consider how a purchase will affect my bank account, I have to consider how words will affect my relationship account.

I can do this by thinking about how my words will come across and intentionally asking myself this question: are there are better words that could be used in this situation?” .

Church News : Picture Of Nun Who Gave Birth But Didn't Know She Was Pregnant

This is the first picture of the 33-year-old nun and new mother Sister Roxana Rodriguez who gave birth to a baby boy last week without knowing she was even pregnant.

Her picture was published in the Italian daily newspaper Corriere Della Sera, who have carried out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the birth of her baby Francis. Findings reveal that the father of her baby is an old flame of hers from when she was younger and the man is not even aware he now has a son.

Sister Roxana claims she feels no guilt for her act but she knows she has incured the anger of her superiors, and fellow nuns at her convent. So, she has written an apology letter to her convent's Mother Superior general Elvira Petaraca - the woman who in September she solemnly promised to follow her vows of 'chastity, poverty and obedience', the three main pillars of the Little Disciples of Jesus Order.

One nun who answered the telephone at the convent, when she was asked if the nuns would visit Sister Roxana at the hospital, said: 'No we must certainly not be going to visit her. What she has done is not right at all. She has betrayed her vows. She will not be coming back here.'

Devotions : Dag Heward Mills - Real Forgiveness

Everyone says, “I have forgiven him and I do not have any grudge against anyone.” But they do, and it shows in their lives and in their actions.

You cannot make a claim to the presence of the Holy Spirit if you cannot walk in divine love and forgiveness.

This is why we need the Holy Spirit. There is a great love that comes into your life from the Holy Spirit.
It is called the love of the Spirit (Romans 15:30).

The Holy Spirit pours love into your heart and enables you to practice it. Pray for the Holy Spirit to come on your life. Supernaturally, you will be able to love even the most unlovable and unforgivable human being. It is called the love of the Spirit.

"Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the LOVE OF THE SPIRIT, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;"
Romans 15:30

Devotions : Reinhard Bonnke - For the price of one

My father was young, strong and sportive. Out walking by the water one day he heard a cry for help. Looking across he saw a man struggling, in danger of perishing in the ice cold water. How or why the man was there, didn’t matter for my father. He was a strong swimmer and without a moment’s hesitation, he jumped in the wintry flood, swam out to the man, grabbed him and saved his life. He brought the half drowned victim to the water’s edge and began pulling him ashore. But he felt a peculiar drag. Heaving the victim to safety seemed an unexpected weight, heavy work. He could not understand why. Then he saw why. To his astonishment, he found out what the dragging ‘weight’ was. Two more drowning people were hanging on to the first man’s feet! He was saving not one man but three people.

Three for the “price” of one!
As evangelist I have often seen how through one person a whole town came to the Lord – all “hanging on”. For the price Jesus paid there is salvation for the whole world.

For the price of One!
Think of it. God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE

Devotions : Anne Graham Lots - Go and Tell

Many people, because they had heard that he had given this miraculous sign, went out to meet him. John 12:18, NIV

What has Jesus done for you? What things have your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, teammates, employers, employees, professors, doctors, lawyer, counselor, pastor, and anyone else heard about that Jesus has done for you?

John testified that, "Many people, because they had heard that he had given this miraculous sign, went out to meet him." Who is seeking to meet Jesus because of what He has done for you?

When have you told someone about how He raised you from spiritual death?

When have you told someone about how He forgave your sin and removed your guilt?

When have you told someone about the disease He healed, or the prayer He answered, or the blessing He gave, or the promise He fulfilled?

Go . . . and tell someone about Jesus!

Devotions : Joseph Prince - Be Christ Conscious

Would you stop being self-conscious and self-occupied, and be Christ-occupied today?

Each time you find yourself looking at your flaws and mistakes, instead of asking yourself, “Am I accepted before God?”, ask, “Is Christ accepted before God?” Instead of asking, “Am I pleasing to God?”, ask, “Is Christ pleasing to God?”

The Bible tells us in 1Jn 4:17 that as Christ is, so are you in this world! This means that today, God sees you in Christ—holy, perfect and blameless—not in your flaws.

So, beloved, keep your eyes on Jesus and in Him you’ll find the power to overcome the weaknesses in your life!

Devotions : & Lizer Bevere - Fasting for Purity

Fasting is an intentional stripping away from body and soul the things that hold us down and tether us to earth’s perspective.

When we fast, our loads are lightened, and our spirits are positioned to soar! Outside of martyrdom, fasting is the ultimate example and expression of the flesh’s submission to God, and when we submit to God we are no longer running in terror; we run with purpose, while the enemy flees!

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee. (James 4:7) When we humble ourselves and hide in the shadow of His wing, the enemy looks for us and sees only the form of the Most High. We are hidden within the shelter of His wing. In this place of safety and rest there is no lack of authority or power.

As we stop feeding other areas of our lives, we hunger and thirst for more of Him. He transforms our appetites as we feed on His goodness and loving-kindness, which is so much better for us than earthly delights. (Even coffee and chocolate!)

Here are some suggestions for your fast.

-First, remember that this is not a time of denial for you, but for your flesh. Your spirit is willing; it is your flesh that’s uncomfortable. Therefore spiritually, this is a time of celebration, of feasting and joy. Remember while Esther fasted, she prepared a lavish banquet for her king. You are going to indulge the King, not your flesh. When you honor the King, He will honor you with His presence.

Approach this as a privilege, not a punishment.

-Treat this like a life-and-death issue, because it is. You are putting bondage to death. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. (Romans 8:13)

Since something is going to have to die in the process, let it be the sinful nature and the misdeeds of the body. Again, like Esther, take it seriously.

- There is no sense in denying yourself food, entertainment or companionship if you don’t indulge yourself in God. Gather everything you need beforehand so you can rest during your fast. Turn off your phone, shut off your TV, close your laptop, disconnect from everything that distracts and detracts. Create an environment that fosters the presence of God.
Be still or fill your house with praise and worship music. Get a journal and set your attention and affection on Him.

- A fast is more about strengthening your spirit than starving your flesh. Open up with your written prayer requests for this time. Make these petitions known.

Pour out your heart like water before the Lord. Tell Him every fear and hope; be open and honest with Him. Record what He shows you through Scripture and prayer.

- Come boldly before Him. Like Esther, put on your royal robes (of righteousness in Christ) and stand in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king’s hall (Esther 5:1).

Know that He will be pleased to see you, and He will extend His royal scepter of favor in your direction. When He asks what you want, tell Him you have come to invite Him to a banquet of worship and adoration, and when you have feasted together, make your petitions known.

- During this time, go through your house and rid it of everything unclean or displeasing to the Lord. The Holy Spirit will show you these items, so be sensitive and obedient to His leading. This may mean inappropriate movies, books, letters, music, or even pictures of old boyfriends. Anything that encourages impurity should definitely be suspect.

I dare you to offer up your sexuality as a fragrant offering before the Lord. Ask Him if there are any other areas of your life that He would desire to touch, heal, or adjust. Offer those before Him as well.

Make this a time to love Him with your whole being and He will give you living water and nourishment you previously could not have imagined.
Embedded within this post is an audio version of this message as well as a spoken prayer so I can stand in agreement with you as you begin this journey. We have also included a link to a written prayer that serves as a guide for breaking generational curses.

Bishop Jordan - Money Matters

Welcome the power that money brings to you and do as much good as you can with it...

Money is a force that you can choose to push towards good or bad. It has the power to influence people around you.

It is a blessing given to you so that you might be empowered to do good.
When you are gifted with money, you are expected to carry out the task of sharing your good fortune with others.

Devotions : Reinhard Bonnke - Believers are power lines

Believers are power lines.
Power and quickening life come through them!
That is what Christianity IS.

We are in the power business. Evangelism is not just pushing ideas or even doctrines. Doctrines are good, but they are like lumps of coal in the coal shed, they are dead.

Put them in the furnace and they are glowing coals.
The gospel is truth on fire. Words are like battery cells; they need to be fully charged. A dead battery won’t light the smallest torch.

When our words are charged with Holy Spirit power, they bring beams of light into the world’s darkness. God bless you.

News : 80% Of Church Members Leave Church After Gay Choir Master Is Forced Out

A church in Indiana has seen about 80 percent of its members leave after a gay choral director was forced out over his intimate orientation.

Adam Fraley told The Herald Bulletin that he worked for the United Methodist Church in Alexandria for six years and attended with his partner.

When a new minister took over the church last year, Fraley said that he resigned because of pressure about his intimate orientation.

United Methodist Church law allows LGBT people to attend church services but says “self-avowed, practicing homosexuals are not to be certified as candidates, ordained as ministers, or appointed to serve.” Many members of the church, who supported Fraley, were at odds over what it meant to “serve.”

Devotions : Kenneth Copeland - Jesus Can Set Them Free

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. – Matthew 10:7-8

There are those who've said that some of the diseases that are on the rampage right now, diseases such as AIDS, are God's way of punishing immoral people today.
There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that! God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there's anybody in heaven and earth who hates it, it's Jesus.

The devil is the one who's trying to tell us otherwise. He's promoting a lie, trying to get us to believe God is the one who's inflicting these diseases on people because he knows that if the victims believe that, it will drive them further from God than ever. And that's his aim.

It's time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie.
Some time ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me so. He said, "Reach out to those who are suffering.
Let them know I didn't do this to them.
Let them know I'm their Deliverer!"
That word was not just for me, it was for the whole Body of Christ. We need to tell people who've been afflicted with AIDS or any such disease that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them.

God is not responsible for the suffering we're seeing around us. That's just a nasty lie the devil is passing around. And if you and I do our job right, very soon another word is going to start spreading through the streets. The news is going to get out that Jesus Christ is not their captor, He's the One who can set them free!.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 9:18-26

Devotions : Billy Graham - Rejoice in Him.

I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. —Habakkuk 3:18

Christians are supposed to be happy persons! Our generation has become well versed in Christian terminology, but is remiss in the actual practice of Christ’s principles and teachings. Hence, our greatest need today is not more Christianity but more true Christians.

The world can argue against Christianity as an institution, but there is no convincing argument against a person who, through the Spirit of God, has been made Christlike.
Such a person is a living rebuke to the selfishness, rationalism, and materialism of the day.

Jesus said to the woman at Jacob’s well, “Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.” This sin-sick, disillusioned woman was the symbol of the whole race.
Her longings were our longings!
Her heart-cry was our heart-cry!
Her disillusionment was our disillusionment!
Her sin was our sin! But her Savior can be our Savior!
Her forgiveness can be our forgiveness!
Her joy can be our joy!

Prayer for the day.

My soul delights in You, my God, and my Redeemer.

Video : Ray Comfort - Evolution Vs. God -

Devotions : Joseph Prince - Word of the day

When the Pharisees brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus, they reminded Him of the law, saying, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” (Jn 8:4–5). They thought that they had succeeded in trapping Jesus because if He told them to stone her, then they would accuse Him of not demonstrating the forgiveness and grace that He had been preaching about.

If He were to say that they should not stone her, then they would accuse Him of breaking the law of Moses and bring a charge against Him.
Now, adultery is a sin, and Jesus had every right to say, “Stone her!” But knowing that He would soon hang on the cross and pay for the woman’s sin in His own body, Jesus was able to uphold the perfect standard of the law, love the sinner and silence her accusers.

And He did all three in style with just one sentence—“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first” (Jn 8:7). Demonstrating His infinite wisdom and grace, Jesus simply challenged the person who was perfect before the law to cast the first stone.

Pricked by their conscience, the Pharisees who had come to ensnare Jesus began to walk away one by one, completely silenced.

Once He was alone with the woman, He turned His attention to her and with eyes full of love and compassion, He asked, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She answered, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Beloved, today the Lord offers you the same gift of no condemnation. He can because He has already paid for all your sins at the cross.

This gift will empower you to live a victorious life, one that glorifies Jesus.
Will you receive His gift today?
